Separate the supplier role from the actual producer

Manufacturer: 5 · Trading company: 2 · Manufacturer & trader: 4. Use the type selector to compare manufacturers, trading companies or businesses with documented manufacturing and trading roles. A trader can be useful for sourcing and export coordination, but its office is not an owned workshop. Ask who will make the goods, which entity signs the contract, and which site will produce the approved sample and bulk order.

Read this location by its documented supplier scope

This province index is built from individually reviewed supplier records. The 11 listed suppliers are the scope of the current dataset, not an estimate of all suppliers in Shanghai. A location name is useful for planning a shortlist, but it does not prove that a factory makes a particular bag, owns every process or has capacity for a new order. Use the documented product groups below before arranging visits or requesting samples.

Product groups in the reviewed records

Published districts and directory locations

Jiading: 1 record; Minhang: 1 record; Not specified in source: 6 records; Pudong: 1 record; Qingpu: 1 record; Songjiang: 1 record. District labels are recorded from the sources and do not create separate landing pages in this phase. A city may contain different production approaches: a sewn soft-bag workshop, an injection-molded suitcase operation and a pouch-printing facility should not be treated as interchangeable suppliers.

Plan a useful factory comparison

Begin by selecting one product group and a small number of genuinely comparable factories. Send the same brief to each proposed supplier through the platform. The brief should identify intended use, dimensions, materials, construction, quantity by colour, artwork, packaging and destination. Without a common brief, differences in lining, reinforcement, zipper quality, tooling or carton configuration can make apparently similar prices incomparable.

For a visit or remote factory review, ask the company to identify the actual site proposed for your order. Confirm the entity that will sign the contract and issue the invoice. An export office or showroom may help communication but is not itself evidence of production. Where a company uses more than one factory, ask which site will make the sample and which site will produce bulk goods. Discuss subcontracted printing, molding or assembly explicitly instead of assuming everything happens under one roof.

Use samples to settle construction decisions

A production-ready sample should use the proposed materials, hardware and internal structure. Check it with representative contents and the intended packed load. Review high-stress seams, handles, straps, zipper openings, edge finishing and the packing arrangement. Identify which measurements and appearance points will be checked at inspection. If a thermal, water-resistance, chemical or impact requirement matters, agree the test conditions and acceptance criteria for the assembled product before approving bulk production.

Keep a controlled specification alongside the approved sample. Record material substitutions, colour references, logo placement and packing revisions in writing. Agree who must approve a change and how it will affect price or timing. These steps make the comparison useful whether the factory is near other shortlisted suppliers or in a different city. Geographic proximity can simplify a visit itinerary, but it does not replace product qualification or a clear purchase agreement.

What source verification means here

Each listed record has a public source and a review date. The review checks the company’s published business role, manufacturing evidence where applicable, and product scope. It is not an independent registration-status check, a physical audit, a financial assessment or a confirmation that a claimed certificate is valid. Marketing figures, brand-customer claims and unverified certifications are not used as directory guarantees. Read each profile for its specific evidence and any address limitations.

All listings in this phase are free and there is no paid preferred ranking. Supplier websites are recorded as plain-text source addresses on the profiles. Purchase requests go to the platform first. Confirm the final production site, available schedule, commercial terms and quality documentation for your own order; no fixed MOQ, lead time or universal compliance claim is implied by appearing on this page.
