Separate a day-hiking pack from a framed load-carrying system before requesting a sample. Establish the carried weight, torso dimensions, adjustment range and access required while wearing the pack. Inspect the seam layout at the harness, load lifters and belt attachments if those elements are included. Water-resistant fabric does not make the whole pack waterproof. Discuss rain exposure, closures and any separate rain cover as distinct design choices.
